Projects Galore

Okay, I have finished things...but I have no pictures to show for it. I finished the Baby Bolero but forgot to take a picture of it before giving it away to Melanie as a shower gift. I also finished my headband made from Manos but left it in the hotel in Salt Lake City - must have been the high altitude coupled with the glee of being a newly engaged person...SO, I am short more than a few pictures at this point. The baby shawl continues (only 1.5 pattern repeats to go and the edging before it is finished - will post pics when it's done), as does the heart sachet from Interweave.I went to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival again this year (happy b-day to me!) with my DF (what a good sport he is!). Here I am first thing in the AM - excited for the day ahead:
And, here is my loot:
I must have developed an addiction for Superwash Merino because that is all that I bought (all of which are from Tess' Designer Yarns - dyed in Maine). The pink and purple skeins are for baby sweaters and the red is to knit my dad a scarf with (pattern TBD) for X-mas. I bought the patterns for the sweaters from the same vendor and think that they are going to be SUPER CUTE!

During the wool festival I was on a mission...a mission to find needles to knit socks. Sadly, I have tons of yarn for socks but no needles that suit me (too long, too short, to much of a pain in the A$$...you name it.) So, I bought the few sets above to give sock knitting a whirl. If anyone has a free toe up pattern that they would like to share, that would be groovy...

While there, I did snap a few pics of the locals:
And, as if all that yarn shopping and sheep ka-noodling wasn't enough, we went to see this girl the next day at the Baltimore Aquarium:
Then home we went:
